Military Medal

'Third man acted as a Battalion runner during the operations north wet of POZIERES 29th/30th August, 1916. He worked for 48 hours without rest and was continually exposed to the greatest danger from shell fire and snipers. His courage and devotion to duty are very highly recommended.'
