Proceeded to unit, 11 June 1917; taken on strength of 46th Bn, 16 June 1917, and allotted Regimental Number 4496A the same day.

Wounded in action, 30 September 1917; admitted to No 10 Casualty Clearing Station, 30 September 1917 (shrapnel wound, head); transferred to No 7 Canadian General Hospital, Etaples, 30 September 1917; to No 6 Convalescent Depot, Boulogne, 3 October 1917; to No 14 Convalescent Depot, Fronville, 6 October 1917; marched into 4th Australian Divisional Base Depot, Le Havre, 22 November 1917.

Proceeded to unit, 27 November 1917; rejoined 46th Bn, 29 November 1917.
