Proceeded from Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 6 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, 13 June 1916. Admitted to hospital, 5 October 1916 (accident: cartiledge); discharged to Base Depot, 1 December 1916.

Marched out to England for return to Australia for discharge (family reasons), 30 December 1916. Commenced return to Australia on board 'Ulysses', 13 February 1917; disembarked Sydney, 14 April 1917; discharged, 28 April 1917.
