Admitted to 6th Field Ambulance (mumps), Tel-el-Kebir, 11 January 1916; to 4th Auxiliary Hospital, Cairo, 12 January 1916; discharged to Overseas Base, 1 February 1916; proceeded to join Bn, 5 March 1916; rejoined 25th Bn, Zeitoun, 6 March 1916; embarked, Alexandria, to join the British Expeditionary Force, 14 March 1916; disembarked, Marseilles, France, 19 March 1916.

Admitted to 7th Field Ambulance (venereal disease), to 2nd Canadian General Hospital, 27 March 1916; to 9th Stationary Hospital, Havre, 30 March 1916; discharged to Base Depot, 3 May 1916, total period of venereal disease, 38 days; marched into Base from Hospital, 5 May 1916.

Found guilty, 13 May 1916, of (1) overtravelling the boundaries of an Etaples pass; (2) failing to obey an order of a Military Police: reprimanded.
