Other details from Roll of Honour Circular | Sailed February 1915 with the 1st Light Horse. Asked to be transferred to the infantry so he could go to Gallipoli. After 9 weeks there got sent to hospital with sickness; arrived back in Sydney in September 1915 on sick furlough. Sailed again in the Reinforcements for the 1st Light Horse in March 1916; when he arrived in Egypt he asked to transfer to the 4th Pioneers to France. was wounded and taken prisoner in January 1918. Arrived in England, 25 December 1918; died at "Boddington", Wentworh Falls, NSW, 24 August 1919. |
