Meritorious Service Medal 'For good service and devotion to duty. Since the formation of his Unit this Warrant Officer has displayed zeal in the carrying out of all his duties and thoroughness in all detail entrusted to him. At the Corps Main Dressing Station, REDFARM, during the Operations at YPRES 4th and 12th October, 1917 he rendered splendid service as supervising N.C.O. and was most untiring day and night in his energy and devotion to duty, loyalty and character for the men of the Unit.'
