Accidentally wounded (self inflicted), Romani, 10 August 1916 (gun shot wound, right foot); admitted to 13th General Hospital, Port Said, 13 August 1916; transferred to 3rd Australian General Hospital, Abbassia, 28 August 1916; to Convalescent Hospital, Montazah, 18 September 1916.

Court of Enquiry, 26 September 1916, 'is of opinion that Pte. Burzacott's wound was accidentally received through no carelessness on his part.'

Discharged to Details, 4 October 1916; rejoined unit, 14 November 1916.

Admitted to 3rd Light Horse Field Ambulance, El Arish, 20 December 1916 (diptheria), and transferred to Hospital Train; admitted to 24th Stationary Hospital, Montazah, 22 Decemner 1916
