Found guilty, 28 March 1916, of (1) breaking camp, (2) being absent without leave from 6.15 am, 27 March, to 6.15 am, 28 March 1916: awarded 14 days' Field Punishment No 2; forfeited a total of 15 days' pay. Reverted to Private, 25 April 1916. Admitted to 2nd Light Horse Field Ambulance, Marakeb, 29 July 1917 (septic sores); discharged to unit, 6 August 1917. To School of Instruction, 22 September 1917; returned to unit, 6 October 1917.
