Wounded in action, admitted to 14th Australian Field Ambulance and transferred to Casualty Clearing Station, 24 April 1918 (gas poisoning); to 10th General Hospital, Rouen, 25 April 1918; to England, 4 May 1918; admitted to Southwark Military Hospital, East Sulwich Grove, England, 6 May 1918; transferred to Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, 26 June 1918; discharged to No 3 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 29 June 1918.
