Admitted to hospital, Gallipoli, 25 August 1915, and reverted to permanent rank of Corporal on account of sickness; transferred to Malta on board HS 'Ascanius', 31 August 1915, and admitted to Royal Naval Hospital. Transferred to All Saints' Hospital, 21 September 1915; placed on supernumerary list, 3 December 1915. Transferred to Floriana Hospital for duty on staff of EMO, 26 December 1915.
