Admitted to 14th Australian General Hospital, Port Said, 18 September 1918 (malaria); transferred to Rest Camp, 14 October 1918; taken on strength, 10th Light Horse Regiment, 30 November 1918.Detached to Australian Mounted Division Headquarters, 5 December 1918, and attached as orderly, 2nd Signal Squadron; returned to 10th Light Horse Regiment, 8 January 1919.

Commenced return to Australia from Kantara on board HT 'Oxfordshire', 10 July 1919; disembarked Western Australia, 4 August 1919; discharged, 31 October 1919.
