Embarked Alexandria to join the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, Gallipoli, 7 March 1915. [Details hereafter are confused; these details are not on the B103 form, but are found on p. 4 of the Statement of Service form. Admitted to 4th Field Ambulance, Gallipoli, 28 August 1915 (gastro-enteritis); transferred from 25th Casualty Clearing Station to HS 'Scotian' and thence to Malta, 2 September 1915, disembarking 5 September 1915. Transferred to England, and admitted to County of London War Hospital, Epsom, 18 September 1915.

On strength, Australian Overseas Base, 18 April 1916.

Marched in to 11th Training Bn, Codford, England, 5 October 1916. Transferred to Anzac Provost Corps, 1 January 1917.

Admitted to Rochester Row Military Hospital, London, 7 November 1917 (venereal disease); discharged from hospital, 4 December 1917; total period of treatment for venereal disease: 29 days.

Proceeded overseas to France (escorting prisoners), 20 June 1918; disembarked Folkestone from France, 25 June 1918.
