Medals |
Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He constantly supervised the relays of ambulance bearers and the forwarding of stores and rations to the regimental aid posts. While engaged in this work his party came under heavy shell fire, and casualties were caused. He dressed a wounded man, and got him to a place of safety, and then carried on, sending forward urgent stores. His coolness and contempt of danger kept the men together at a critical time.'
