Military Medal 'On the night 15/16th October, 1916, during a raid on the German trenches near DIEPENDAAL. He was one of a bombing section under Lance Corporal ENABLES. The remainder of the section being delayed by wire he displayed coolness and bravery in helping the Corporal to carry out the work the Section were detailed to do.'
