Proceeded to unit, 19 February 1917, and taken on strength of 1st Field Squadron the same day.

Evacuated to hospital, 3 April 1918; admitted to No 14 Australian General Hospital, Port Said, 10 April 1918 (myalgia); transferred to Port Said Rest Camp, 7 June 1918.

Admitted to No 14 Australian General Hospital, Port Said, 13 June 1918 (bronchitis); discharged, 25 June 1918, and marched into Engineer Training Unit, Moascar, the same day.

Proceeded to unit, 1 July 1918; rejoined 1st Field Squadron, 4 July 1918.

Evacuated to hospital, 10 October 1918; admitted to No 34 Casualty Clearing Station, Jerusalem, 22 October 1918 (pneumonia).

Died, No 34 Casualty Clearing Station, 23 October 1918.

Buried by Chaplain S. Evans, 23 October 1918.
