Military Medal 'At MORLANCOURT on night 28/29th July 1918. A few minutes after zero hour his line broke down. He immediately moved out from the front line overland under heavy enemy barrage and linked up several breakages caused by the shell fire. He had previously shown great coolness and judgment in similar work.'
