Transferred and taken on strength of 18th Australian Army Service Corps, Alexandria, 3 March 1916; proceeded from Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 16 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 23 June 1916.

Found guilty, 21 March 1917, of drunkenness: awarded forfeiture of 1 day's pay.

Found guilty, 9 August 1917, of being absent from his Billet from 9:00 pm to 10:20 pm, 7 August 1917.
