Meritorious Service Medal

'For good service and devotion to duty. This Warrant Officer has served in the Office of the A.D.M.S. for over eighteen months, during which time he has been conspicuous for the zeal and energy which he has put into his work. He has performed his duties with great thoroughness, and has never spared himself in the interests of the service, and in his endeavour to cope with his work. His work is of a confidential nature and highly responsible and he has always been absolutely reliable and his work has always been done with a cheerfulness that has inspired all under him to do their best. During the operations at MESSINES in June 1917 and YPRES on 4th and 12th October, 1917 he was unflagging in his attention to detail and carried out his duties during these periods of heavy and continuous work with the greatest efficiency and in such a way as to merit entire confidence.'
