Military Medal 'Signaller Cronin displayed conspicuous courage and devotion to duty during attack on HINDENBURG LINE South of REINCOURT on 11th April, 1917. Despite heavy enemy Machine Gun and Snipers Fire across No Man's Land he volunteered to bring in wounded he was exposed to great risks all the time but continued to carry until all our wounded and wounded of other Units lying on our front were brought in. His splendid behaviour is deserving of recognition.'
