Military Medal 'This Non Commissioned Officer displayed great courage and coolness under fire, and organised parties to build barricades, and led bombing parties. He was subsequently wounded. The work performed by him assisted greatly towards holding the position during the operations from 4th to 6th April, 1917, after the capture of NOREUIL.'
