Taken on strength, 6th Light Horse Regiment, Gallipoli, 2 October 1915; sick to hospital, 1 December 1915 (jaundice); admitted to 1st Australian General Hospital, Cairo, 5 December 1915; transferred to 1st Auxiliary Hospital, Cairo, 10 December 1915; to Overseas Base, Cairo, 28 December 1915; proceeded to rejoin unit, 30 December 1915.

Marched out to Serapeum, 23 February 1916.

Injured whilst on Military duty when kicked by horse, 19 February 1917 (inflammation of connective tissues, leg); admitted to 14th Australian General Hospital, Cairo, 26 February 1917; discharged, 30 March 1917; taken on strength, 2nd Light Horse Training Regiment, Moascar, 31 March 1917.

Transferred to 6th Light Horse Regiment, Moascar, 1 July 1917; rejoined unit, 2 July 1917.

Reported missing, 28 March 1918.

Subsequently reported died of wounds while prisoner of war in Turkey, 29 March 1918.
