Military Medal 'For excellent work done during the recent operations in POLYGON WOOD, 26th/27th September. during the advance, before the objective was consolidated this N.C.O. repeatedly brought his gun into action effectively. While the position was being consolidated, he took up an advanced position some 30 yards out and taking up an advantageous position, enfiladed a large number of the enemy who were retreating toward a Pill box on the right flank, he accounted for at least 20 or 25 of the enemy. This work was done during the morning of the 26th. Lance Corporal Crozier was, on 27th September transferred to the right flank where he occupied an advanced position where he was successful in silencing an enemy machine gun.'
