Military Medal 'On the 8th August, 1918, during the attack on the enemy's positions east of HAMEL, Sergeant CUTLER led his section with great bravery and coolness, capturing three enemy dugouts and a number of prisoners. He was also responsible for the direction of the flank of his Company and the maintaining of touch with a neighbouring unit; in both these efforts he was entirely successful despite the great difficulties caused by the dense fog. He rendered valuable service throughout the operations and displayed much bravery and devotion to duty.'
