Taken on strength, 60th Bn, Tel el Kebir, 26 February 1916.

Admitted to 15th Field Ambulance, 28 February 1916 (parotitis), and transferred same day to 2nd Australian Stationary Hospital (mumps). Discharged by new disease supervening, 14 March 1916 (herperzositer); discharged to unit, 23 March 1916 (herpes).

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 29 June 1916.

Killed in action, 19 July 1916.
