Military Medal

'For gallantry and devotion to duty near VILLERS BRETONNEUX on 3rd May, 1918. Private DIMOND was on duty in a forward observation post and continuously was under fire. Although parts of the house in which his post was, were blown away and the house was frequently hit he remained on duty in this exposed and very dangerous position observing the enemy movement and sending back most valuable reports. His disregard of personal danger and his devotion to duty under trying conditions were magnificent.'
