Admitted to 6th Field Ambulance and transferred to 53rd Casualty Clearing Station, 8 December 1918 (ruptured kidney); to Ambulance Train, 9 December 1918; to 3rd Stationary Hospital, Rouen, 16 December 1918; to England, 27 December 1918; admitted to Southwark Military Hospital, Dulwich, England, 28 December 1918; transferred to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 29 January 1919; discharged from hospital and granted leave, 14 February 1919.

Granted leave without pay, 28 February to 28 March 1919; marched in, from leave, to Army Medical Corps Training Depot, Fovant, 29 March 1919.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Somali', 1 June 1919; disembarked Perth, 8 July 1919; discharged, 30 August 1919.
