Military Medal 'During the operations east of JEANCOURT Lance Corporal DOHERTY was a No. 1 Lewis Gunner and by his daring and disregard for personal safety on many occasions by pushing his gun into exposed and advanced position and thus materially assisting the advance. On one occasion, with great risk he took his gun up on a flank and enfiladed the enemy position and kept them so low that the advancing infantry were able to reach the strong post.'
