(no details of embarkation) Attached to Camel Transport Corps, 20 January 1917; appointed Temporary Corporal, Eastern Expeditionary Force, 26 January 1917; transferred to 'R' Company, 15 May 1917; marched in to AASC, Moascar, 26 July 1918; marched out to Australian Division Train, 10 August 1918; taken on strength of 36th Company AASC and appointed Driver, 13 August 1918.

Found guilty, 11 April 1918, of (1) being absent from Feed Parade without permission and (2) being absent from camp when company under orders to move; awarded reprimand by Commanding Officer.

Found guilty, 4 May 1918, of (1) being drunk in the field and (2) being absent without leave, from 6:00 am to 7:30 am, 28 April 1918: awarded reduction of rank and 42 days' Field Punishment No 2.

Admitted to Hospital, 16 October 1918 (sick); died of disease in Damascus Hospital, 28 October 1918.
