'During the recent operations East of YPRES from 29th September 1917 to the present date No. 1959 Driver Harrison Albert DOUGLAS has done excellent work in taking up rations from the wagon lines to the gun positions. He has insisted on taking the rations every day himself and has not once been relieved. On numerous occasions he has had to go through heavy enemy barrages and when the corduroy road has been blown up he has taken out his horses from the Mess Cart and packed the rations to the guns. On two occasions his horse has been wounded and he has carried the rations himself from the spot where his horse was wounded to the guns. His gallantry is deserving of special recognition.'
