Wounded in action, Gallipoli, 5 July 1915 (shrapnel, left leg: slight); transferred to Malta, 14 July 1915, and admitted to St George's Hospital; to Egypt, 20 August 1915, and admitted to Base, Mustapha, 23 August 1915.

Embarked Alexandria to rejoin unit at Gallipoli, 5 September 1915.
