'This N.C.O. has been on the 8th F.A.B. Headquarters since the arrival of the Brigade in FRANCE, and has shown conspicuous ability, zeal and devotion to duty, particularly at MESSINES and during the present operations. His work has always been performed most efficiently and often under very difficult and strenuous conditions frequently for 48 hours at a stretch. His work has always been performed cheerfully and he has been a fine example to the remaininder of the staff, and to the Brigade generally.'
