Found guilty in the field, 12 June 1917, of being absent without leave, 9.00 am, 10 June 1917, to 10.45 am, 11 June 1917: admonished by superior officer; forfeited total of 2 days' pay. Found guilty in the field, 4 August 1917, of conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline in that he did not obey an order, 2 August 1917: awarded 14 days' Field Punishment No 2.
