Found guilty, 7th Training Bn, England, 22 August 1916, of conduct to the prejudice fo good order and military discipline: awarded 168 hours detention, and total forfeiture of 7 days' pay.

Marched into Base Depot, France, 2 October 1917.

Transferred to 31st Bn, 12 October 1916.

Taken on strength of 31st Bn, in the field, 15 October 1916.

Evacuated to hospital, 18 October 1916 (rheumatic fever); admitted to No 2 Stationary Hospital, Abbeville, 19 October 1916; transferred to England, 7 December 1916; to No 1 London General Hospital, Camberwell, 8 December 1916; transferred to No 1 Australia Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, 12 June 1917; discharged, 21 June 1917, and marched into No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, the same day.

Commenced return to Australia onboard HT 'Nestor', 22 July 1917; disembarked, 30 September 1917; discharged Brisbane (medically unfit: valvular disease of the heart), 10 November 1917.
