Other details | Service England and France. Wounded at Vimy Ridge September 1917, invalided to Sutton Veny War Hospital, England. Recovered and returned to unit 7 February 1918. Injured in the leg and invalided to Le Havre, France where he contracted pneumonia and died. 'He was a good all-round athlete, and was popular amongst his officers and mates.' |
