Admitted to No 1 Australian Stationary Hospital, Ismailia, 17 May 1916 (scabies); discharged, 25 May 1916, and rejoined 2nd Anzac Headquarters.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 6 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 13 June 1916.

Found guilty, 15 June 1916, of when on active service, leaving a troop train without permission, and remaining absent from about 1115 hours, until 1430 hours, the same day: award, admonished.
