Military Medal 'During the attack on BLACK WATCH CORNER east of YPRES on September 20th 1917, this N.C.O. organised a party of bombers and rifle grenadiers and brought fire to bear on the strong point. He then led his party round and captured it, thereby allowing our advance to continue. He pushed on until the 3rd objective was captured and did exceptionally fine work in getting the position consolidated.'
