Proceeded overseas to France, 30 August 1917; taken on strength, 27th Bn, 9 September 1917.

Wounded in action, 20 September 1917; rejoined unit, 1 October 1917. Wounded in action, second occasion (gas), 31 October 1917; evacuated to England, 9 November 1917; discharged from hospital, 12 December 1917.
