Military Medal 'On 29th September, 1918, at BONY. He was in charge of a party engaged on clearing and maintaining forward roads, following up the Infantry in attack. Although the attack was held up at GUILLEMONT Farm he went forward, under heavy fire, on three occasions to make a reconnaissance of the road previously assigned to the party at the commencement of the battle. His coolness and courage were a great example to the men and inspired them to no small degree.'
