Meritorious Service Medal 'C.S.M. FISHER has, during the period from 25th February, 1918 to 16th September 1918, served with his unit, from 25th February to 25th March on the MESSINES front, and for the remainder of the period on the AMIENS front, in the capacity of Company sergeant Major. he has always been most efficient and energetic in the performance of his duties. During the advance from VILLERS BRETONNEUX to the SOMME CANAL between the 8th and 31st August, 1918, he rendered especially valuable service by his uncommon organising ability. He has always been a fine soldierly example to all ranks, and this, together with his devotion to duty, is worthy of special recognition.'
