Wounded in action (slightly), Anzac Cove, 12 August 1915 (gun shot wound, thumb, finger, left hand); transferred by HS 'Valdivia' to Malta, 20 August 1915, and admitted to Royal Naval Hospital.

Disembarked Alexandriafrom Malta, 9 October 1915, and marched in to Overseas Base, Mustapha.
