Disembarked Suez, 7 December 1915; admitted to 2nd Australian General Hospital, Ghezereh, 14 December 1915 (pneumonia); transferred to Convalescent Depot, Ras-el-Tin, 28 December 1915; discharged to duty, 11 January 1916; rejoined 31st Bn, 15 January 1916.

Admitted to 8th Field Ambulance, Serapeum, 14 February 1916 (mumps); transferred to No 1 Casualty Clearing Station, 14 February 1916; to 1st Australian Stationary Hospital, Ismailia, 14 February 1916 (parotitis); to No 4 Auxiliary Hospital, Abbassia, 15 February 1916 (mumps); discharged to Overseas Base, Ghezereh, 4 March 1916; rejoined unit, Tel-el-Kebir, 9 March 1916.

Statement, Red Cross File No 190201, 1095 Pte C.S. JAMIESON, 31st Bn (patient, Clacton, Middlesex, Hospital), 27 January 1917: 'Informant states that on 20th July at Fleurbaix he saw Bain buried. Had been killed the day before.'
