Medals |
Military Medal 'Throughout the whole action of 20th September 1917 near WESTHOEK this stretcher bearer carried casualties from front line to rear through intense shell fire. On two occasions he went forward from our line into our own barrage and bandaged and carried back wounded men who were lying there. He refused to rest and set a splendid example to all by his disregard for danger.'
