Military Medal 'On 30th August 1918, during operations towards PERONNE Sapper GRAHAM was sent to carry out a reconnaissance for water, dugouts, etc. He thoroughly searched the forward area under constant shell fire and then despite heavy shelling of the village found a very useful well in BIACHES and secured detailed dimensions and a sample. Despite the fact that the enemy were holding the opposite bank and machine gunning and sniping constantly, Sapper GRAHAM go water samples from the canal and coolly reconnoitred two bridges crossing the canal which were under direct enemy fire. By his initiative, determination and gallantry under fire Sapper GRAHAM brought back accurate information which proved invaluable.'
