Medals |
Meritorious Service Medal 'For conspicuous good work as Pioneer Sergeant. At all times he is very keen on the sanitation of camp, billet or line area, always instituting an excellent system of grease traps, incinerators and latrines. He has been personally congratulated by A.D.M.S. 2nd Australian Division, and Commanding Officer, 1st Australian Sanitary Section, who both stated that he had instituted the finest sanitation arrangements they had seen in the field It is due no doubt to his untiring efforts in this direction that this unit has such a low percentage of cases of illness caused by bad sanitation.'
