Meritorious Service Medal 'During the period 16th September, 1918 to 11th November, 1918, this Non Commissioned Officer did admirable work under extremely difficult conditions in supervising the preparation and cooking of the meals of the Battalion. His duties have very frequently been carried out under shell-fire, but his assiduousness in their performance has been of a very high standard, and it has been due very largely to his excellent work that the feeding of the battalion has at all times been satisfactory to a marked degree.'
