Embarked Sydney on HMAT ‘Anchises’, 24 January 1917; disembarked Devonport, England, 27 March 1917, and marched into Pioneer Training Bn, Fovant.

Proceeded overseas to France through Southampton, 18 October 1917; marched into 1st Australian Divisional Base Depot, Havre, 19 October 1917; moved into the field, 21 October 1917; taken on strength of 1st Pioneer Bn, 23 October 1917. Transferred to 1st Machine Gun Bn and taken on strength, 9 April 1918.

Killed in action, 22 August 1918.
