Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and good work during the attack upon Estrees on 3 October 1918. In command of a section he attacked an enemy post with bombs, killing many of the enemy. He personally captured one officer and twenty nine other prisoners. He then continued further, securing four more prisoners and killing several of the enemy.'
