Military Medal 'Near Le Bridoux night 12/13 June. Corporal Barker is also one of the original Battalion. He took the telephone and wire across to the enemy parapet and at once had communication established with H.Q. in our line. He behaved marvellously coolly when quite a lot of splinters were flying round, forced his way through the barbed wire getting cut rather badly while doing so. He kept communication going throughout and remained on the enemy parapet until everyone had left when he contonued to pass messages until he was certain the messages had been received,'
