Military Medal 'On the night of the 20th September 1917 and the morning of the 21st September, Lance Cpl. BARKER continually patrolled the WARRINGTON VERBRANDEN and ZILLEBEKE Roads near YPRES for 6 hours by day and 6 hours by night during very heavy enemy shelling and by his energy and resource in controlling the traffic, ensured the supply of munitions and food to the front line.'
