Distinguished Service Order 'Near Jeancourt, on 18th September,1918, his company had to advance over 2,500 yards before attaining their objective. His gallant ad able leadership resulted in the rapid and successful capture of each point of resistance by successive operations. With 120 rifles he captured more than 130 prisoners and twelve machine guns. He did fine work.'
